Effects of (over) exposure:

 

Irritation of skin, eyes and respiratory tract.

 

Symptoms of (over) exposure

 

·       Inhalation:

Coughing, vomiting. It is narcotic, toxic, and inhalation of its vapour may produce nausea. dizziness, headaches, and general ill feeling.

·       Skin:

The solvent induces defatting action eventually resulting in dryness and cracking of the skin.

·       Eyes:

Pain, redness.

·       Ingestion:

Sore throat, stomach-ache, headache, dizziness, vomiting, dullness.

4. First - Aid Measures

 

 

Inhalation:

 

In high concentrations vapour is irritating to eyes and mucus membranes. Remove patient from exposure area. Seek medical advice after significant exposure.

 

Skin:

Wash with plenty of soap and water immediately. Take all contaminated clothes off immediately. Take lanolin salve or olive oil to replace the natural oils, fats of the skin.

 

Eyes:

Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at last 15 minutes. Eyelids should be kept away from the eyeball to ensure thorough rinsing. Always seek medical advice.

 

Ingestion:

Induce vomiting if patient is conscious. Rinse with water.

Seek medical advice.

Low vapour concentrations cause irritation of the respiratory tract, causing coughing and slight difficulty with breathing.

 

- Skin:

The absorption of toxic quantities through the skin of the hand and forearms is unlikely. Nevertheless, the solvent tends to extract the natural oils normally present  and can cause subsequent cracking of the skin which may in turn cause infection.  

 

- Eyes:

Vapour is irritating, may cause reddening.

BODY PAINT REMOVER is  insoluble in water. Is highly toxic to fish if discharged to natural waters. Avoid discharging to sewers or waterways! Do not allow to escape into water, wastewater or soil.
